Advantage Early Learning Academy adopts this philosophy using the HighScope Curriculum. What this means for your child is that free thinking will take place. HighScope uses a framework that focuses on six key areas of development:

The six key areas of development are broken down to help you as a parent understand the skills and abilities your child will soon be displaying. The approaches to learning domain will teach your child/children babies the ability to self-help and take initiative. Fostering social and emotional development allows for your child to learn how to play with others, identify emotions, form relationships, discover emotions, and learn about self. In the Frogs classroom physical development is very key. Creating a lesson plan that allows for physical development and health will include moving parts of the body, tummy time, moving the whole body and moving objects with the body. Communication, language and literacy are very important to the brain development of a young child. Focusing on nonverbal cues, speaking, babbling, and exploring printed text will allow for a greater vocabulary. As your child grow and develop, the Frogs classroom will offer new challenges and discovery opportunities. The lesson plans created will allow for age appropriate cognitive explorations such as object permanence, taking apart and putting together, numbers, letters, same and different and identifying. The last domain in the framework focuses on creativity. Creatively the infant classroom will engage in listening and responding to music, art activities, learning movement through imitation, and sound.
